FRYE Billy Pull On Chocolate Vintage

Be prepared-people will try to buy these boots off your feet! I have 2 pairs-chocolate and black. I personally like the chocolate best. Very neutral and broken in looking, they look great with everything!

On to fit-these boots are stiff and do require a break in period, also, I suggest a boot jack to help get them off Roma Wooden Boot Jack With Rubber Grip. As to size, I suggest going as true to your size as possible. I generally wear a size 6 but in most closed toe shoes that require a sock I go up a half size. I followed the recs on sizing for this boot and found them to not be true for me-I really needed what I thought I did-again a boot jack really helps.. My feet are high arch and average width. I have no issue with the shaft width but if you are worried about chaffing I suggest Lanacane Anti Chafing Gel, 1-Ounce (I am the blister queen and use this a lot).

    I love these boots! They fit great and I wear them all the time. They wear really well too- I go to school where there is a lot of rain and snow and they still look great!

    These boots are fantastic, quality is exceptional. They are extremely comfortable (right from day one). Went up 1/2 a size from my normal size on the recommendation of another customer because of the pointed toe and they fit perfectly! Will be coming back to purchase another pair of Frye boots soon.

    I LOVE frye boots for their durability and quality. They are hands down worth the money. I wanted boots with a little flair, but in neutral colors, and this boot was perfect. Always get tons of compliments. Only thing is that is pinched my toes slightly the first week or so, but that went away with thicker socks and wearing-in.

    As most know, Frye boots are very well made and well worth the money.
    I ordered these boots recently and was questioning if I should order my actual shoe size or go a half size larger, after trying some on at Nordstroms and speaking with the salesperson, they informed me that with Frye Boots you should get your actual shoe size , they may feel a little snug at first,but with time they will stretch a bit.
    I am VERY pleased with my purchase and know that these boots will last me for a long time.

    I have had these boots for 4 years and have worn them constantly every winter. I lived in Manhattan for 3 of those 4 years so that automatically means miles and miles of walking, sometimes over 5 miles in one day. I also wore them on trips to Paris, Amsterdam and Buenos Aires and walked EVERYWHERE. My feet never hurt or get tired in them. I wear them with skirts/dresses and tights, leggings and skinny jeans. Perfect with every outfit!

    My favorite boots ~ LOVE them! I did go up 1/2 size and had to have them stretched at a local shoe place in town, but they are now perfect! Looking forward to wearing them for yeeeaaars! Great quality product....

    Well worth the price! These boots take a little while to break in, and are a little difficult to get on and off when brand new. But just wear them a few times and they will fit perfectly and be very comfortable. Heard great things about the quality of Frye boots and these were my first pair, now I'm looking to order my second pair (riding boots) because I love these so much. Ordered my normal shoe size and was happy with the fit.

boots review on FRYE Shirley Over The Knee Riding Leather I loved and wanted this boot regardless of the fact that i knew my calf size was larger then what the boot circumfrance stated. My calf is a 16 3.4.. but i knew that in a couple of days it would give and it did. When i first tried them on they wouldnt go pass my calf then after wearing them in the house they gave but then i realized i should have tried them with socks. I put the socks on and then in two days they stretched and fit my calf nicely. i always order a half size up, which was plenty of room to wear with socks and be comfy. I love this boot and thats why i took 4 days to decide if it was worth all the stretching and it was. Dont plan on buy another black boot for some years. One change I would make to these boots if I were the designer: I'd make them knee length. They are a little short for the style. I normally wear a 9.5WW. Even though these were only a W, I had plenty of room in the footbed. I've ordered about eight pairs of boots trying to find one to fit and wished I could have kept these, even as an extra pair, since they aren't going to go with everything. My beef with these boots is that even though the calf opening says 16 inches, I could barely zip them up on my 16" calves (where I could on other boots of the same width).
