LOEFFLER RANDALL Womens Matilde Black

I've been admiring these for years (even tried buying a Steven Madden Loeffler Randall knockoff Intyce--a sorry imitation) and am delighted with them. I also ordered a half size up, something I'd never done before, but will definitely do again. The extra room makes the boot even more comfortable for even longer and seemed to give me a little more room in the calf. I could have taken my usual size too, but for me the roomier fit was a good choice. I have had trouble with my calves fitting quite snugly in J. Crew boots like the Booker, that's not a problem with these (esp in a 1/2 size up).

The vachetta leather and leather lining are superb, as is the heel height. Really flattering on the leg and the almond toe is beautiful. Also, the olive color is much more beautiful and interesting in person. I'd never seen it before and took a chance and was delighted. A really interesting slightly greenish brown that goes beautifully with gray, blue, black, and tan.

    I have been lusting over these boots for the last five years. I couldn't justify spending the money, mainly because I didn't have it. It must've been my lucky day because when I found them on here, they were the color that I wanted (tortora) and they were more than half off! On top of that, there was a $50 off code at the bottom of the page. When all is said and done, I paid $268 for these boots! The catch, I had to go up a half size. They seem like they fit true to size, but I will just wear thick socks and maybe inserts. My feet don't slide or anything so I think that compromise can be made for the the deal of a lifetime.

    If I had the money, I would buy them in black and in one of the darker brown/chestnut colors. They are worth every penny and can be worn in myriad ways. You won't regret this purchase. You'll have these in your wardrobe for years and years!

boots review on FRYE Shirley Over The Knee Riding Leather I loved and wanted this boot regardless of the fact that i knew my calf size was larger then what the boot circumfrance stated. My calf is a 16 3.4.. but i knew that in a couple of days it would give and it did. When i first tried them on they wouldnt go pass my calf then after wearing them in the house they gave but then i realized i should have tried them with socks. I put the socks on and then in two days they stretched and fit my calf nicely. i always order a half size up, which was plenty of room to wear with socks and be comfy. I love this boot and thats why i took 4 days to decide if it was worth all the stretching and it was. Dont plan on buy another black boot for some years. One change I would make to these boots if I were the designer: I'd make them knee length. They are a little short for the style. I normally wear a 9.5WW. Even though these were only a W, I had plenty of room in the footbed. I've ordered about eight pairs of boots trying to find one to fit and wished I could have kept these, even as an extra pair, since they aren't going to go with everything. My beef with these boots is that even though the calf opening says 16 inches, I could barely zip them up on my 16" calves (where I could on other boots of the same width).
