I had been stalking these boots for several months now and finally bit the bullet and ordered them in black. Gorgeous right out of the box. Leather interior, leather sole. The quality and workmanship on this boot is great. Now here is the real reason you should buy this boot: comfort, support, durability. I brought several pairs of shoes on our honeymoon to Paris and London. I knew we would be doing a ton of walking and purchased the Melissa boot 3 days before our honeymoon. Out of the 14 days that we were on vacation I wore the Melissa boot 14 of those days. They were amazing. They are so stylish looking that people often mistook me as Parisian. On most days we walked a MINIMUM of 8 miles. Our flat was on the 9th floor of a walk-up. We walked and walked and walked some more. These boots took the beating and kept on going. My feet felt great! And I had no issues with chafing or blisters. It wasn't till day 13(we toured the Lourve the day before so my feet took a beating) that my feet started hurting. Great boots that really stood up to the test of cobblestone streets and many miles. I will have these boots for years to come!

    Beautiful...my third pair of Old Gringo boots. I usually wear a 7 but the 7 in this style was too big so I exchanged them for a 6 1/2. They are a tad tighter than my previous pairs but I think once they stretch they will fit like a glove. The detail of the stitching is really incredible! I purchased this color over the other option because they were quite a bit more discounted. I checked other websites and Amazon, by far, had the best pricing. These boots are definitely show-stoppers!

    This is a lovely boot. The fit is perfect and the colours and detailing are just beautiful.
    It will go well with either jeans or dresses. Very happy with the quality of the construction.

    ive been waiting for 3 years to get these boot(being that they are so expensive). Love these boots wore them right out of the box and fit perfectly. look great ive already gotten a lot of compiments on them. they are going under my wedding dress and i cant help but love them. deffinetly worth the wait.

    Love the colors on the boots. Love the flowers on the boots. These are one of my favorites! I wear a 10 and the 10 fit perfectly.

    Second pair of old gringos, I love them! Very little if any break in time. I am a hair dresser and I wear them all day at work right out of the box! I usually wear a size 9.5 or 10 in other shoes. But I got a 9 in these. My first pair I went to a store to purchase so that I could try them on.

    I wear between an 8.5 and 9 shoe. Had to return the 9s in exchange for 8.5. 8.5 boots gave me the right fit with heel slip.

My calf is a 16 3.4.. but i knew that in a couple of days it would give and it did. When i first tried them on they wouldnt go pass my calf then after wearing them in the house they gave but then i realized i should have tried them with socks. I put the socks on and then in two days they stretched and fit my calf nicely. i always order a half size up, which was plenty of room to wear with socks and be comfy. I love this boot and thats why i took 4 days to decide if it was worth all the stretching and it was. Dont plan on buy another black boot for some years. One change I would make to these boots if I were the designer: I'd make them knee length. They are a little short for the style. I normally wear a 9.5WW. Even though these were only a W, I had plenty of room in the footbed. I've ordered about eight pairs of boots trying to find one to fit and wished I could have kept these, even as an extra pair, since they aren't going to go with everything. My beef with these boots is that even though the calf opening says 16 inches, I could barely zip them up on my 16" calves (where I could on other boots of the same width). I wouldn't recommend buying them unless your calves are 15.5 or under. The leather does not feel like the type to stretch. A huge plus: these are extremely comfortable.
