Koolaburra Womens Savannity Boot Black

These boots are amazing! I bought them in the tan color, and wasn't expecting them to be already distressed-looking since they didn't appear that way in the photo. When they arrived, though, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have that broken-in look already to them.

After reading a lot of reviews here on Amazon and elsewhere, I decided to go with the common advice of ordering a half-size down, and I'm glad I did. I usually wear a 7 1/2 in boots and shoes, and the 7 fit perfectly. What I read on-line said that you know you have the right fit when the heel area is loose; they will eventually mold to your foot, and you will no longer feel your heel sliding in them, which is exactly what I found to be the case.

I also had no problems breaking them in. I wore them around the house for a few hours over the weekend, out for two hours yesterday, and wore them for eight hours on my feet teaching today -- and didn't need to put on my back-up shoes that I had brought with me (expecting that these would hurt after a while). They were comfy and great all day!

These are almost a cross between a motorcycle boot and an equestrian boot -- and they definitely are smokin'! I got compliments on them all day today, and love how classically stylish they are. While the motorcycle look is currently trendy, these boots have such a classic look to them that I know I will be able to wear them for years to come.

UPDATE 3/20/10: Just wanted to update my review to say that the more you wear these boots , the more broken in and comfy they get. Every time I wear them, I also get so many compliments on them! A friend of mine from work also mentioned to me that she's had her Frye boots for about ten or fifteen years, and they are still going strong. She's had to get them re-soled a few times, but they look great after all those years.

    As an owner of 50 pairs of Uggs, these are now my favorite boots. The raised heel gives me a little extra heighth; and at 5 foot 2 what woman wouldn't appreciate that.

    amazing boots! love them. Great price on amazon and great customer service!!!!! Does run half size smaller so order half size up if you are in between sizes. Gotten tons of compliments on them and look great with yoga wear!

    Wow. I am in love with these boots! I have not worn anything else since these arrived. I am size 7.5 and ordered 8 which fit perfectly. They are kinda loud when you walk but you get used to it. They are super warm and comfortable, not to mention beautiful! I have tons of shoes including Uggs and these are by far my favorite now :) I want another pair!
    My little sister wants some now, converting Ugg lovers everywhere ;)

Best riding boots ever!

boots review on FRYE Shirley Over The Knee Riding Leather I loved and wanted this boot regardless of the fact that i knew my calf size was larger then what the boot circumfrance stated. My calf is a 16 3.4.. but i knew that in a couple of days it would give and it did. When i first tried them on they wouldnt go pass my calf then after wearing them in the house they gave but then i realized i should have tried them with socks. I put the socks on and then in two days they stretched and fit my calf nicely. i always order a half size up, which was plenty of room to wear with socks and be comfy. I love this boot and thats why i took 4 days to decide if it was worth all the stretching and it was. Dont plan on buy another black boot for some years. One change I would make to these boots if I were the designer: I'd make them knee length. They are a little short for the style. I normally wear a 9.5WW. Even though these were only a W, I had plenty of room in the footbed. I've ordered about eight pairs of boots trying to find one to fit and wished I could have kept these, even as an extra pair, since they aren't going to go with everything. My beef with these boots is that even though the calf opening says 16 inches, I could barely zip them up on my 16" calves (where I could on other boots of the same width).
