best boots review on FRYE Paige Tall Riding Burnished

So, I have been admiring the Frye Paiges for awhile. I tried them on a couple years ago and was discouraged by the difficulty to get them on and off, as you will see mentioned in other reviews, but I kept going back to them. I finally committed and bought them right before Christmas. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 so I ordered a 7 to account for bigger socks and jeans tucked in them. Unfortunately, they were too big, to the point they were sliding around and up my ankle when I walked. Of course they were easier to get on too, but I wanted them to fit better. I called Amazon and did a free return and got my new 6.5. (You can only be mad at yourself if you choose to order from one of their afiliates whose service isn't as good). Yes, the 6.5s were harder to get on, but they also fit my feet better and I'm going to trust the other reviewers when they say they flex a little. I'll take an extra few seconds for these boots any day, no big deal. I got the antique tan color and it is great. I wish the shaft fit my calf tighter, but I have a pretty skinny calf so that is an issue with most of my boots . They are worth it if you are on the fence, style and quality are timeless.

Love the boots. Made very well. I wear 6 1/2-7, and ended up getting 7. Easier to get foot in/out. I have black, tan and now gray. For me, I love the boot b/c it's got a little detail, so it's not plain, but nothing major/out of the box, which allows you to wear them with almost everything. The moment you see them you know they're made well.
ReplyDeleteI had been looking at these boots for a while. I searched and read all the reviews before ordering. I have trouble finding tall boots to fit over my calves so I searched before spending this kind of money on boots that won't fit. They are very great boots. The leather is beautiful and soft. They look amazing on. I tried to order these off another site and they would have cost me almost $100 more. Amazon was a perfect choice!
ReplyDeleteIf these boots were a man, I'd marry them!!! I know our relationship will last FOREVER by the Frye reputation, they are TOTALLY handsome and understated. They are a PERFECT fit. I vary between 9 and 9.5, went with 9 and fit is great. I usually spend less and get the boot I ALMOST love, but these are my mad love affair. EVERYONE compliments me on them and people ask to feel the leather (which is golden and rich and perfectly distressed in all the right places). I go to shoe stores and enjoy scanning all the boots that I don't want, because nothing holds a flame to mine. I have ZERO buyers remorse. These boots have actually saved me money, in that I can now wear all those skirts and dresses that needed the right boot, tough but feminine. I could go on and on and on.
ReplyDeleteThese are great boots. I would recommend these to anybody looking for boots. I get compliments on the style every time I wear them.
ReplyDeleteThese are my first pair of Frye's and I LOVE them! I ordered them in gray and couldn't be happier. I also found that Amazon had the best price on these boots. One thing to note that didn't show up in the picture, is the toe area is a little darker. I'm not unhappy with it, but if you are spending this much on boots you want to know every detail! I did order a 1/2 size smaller and they fit perfect. I am surprised at how comfortable they are, I didn't even have to break them in. I am 5'6" and these boots come up right below the knee. There is plenty of room in the calf and love the look of these boots with my skinny jeans. Yay, Frye! Thanks for such a timeless style. :) I am already plotting my next purchase!
ReplyDeleteI just purchased these boots in the saddle color. They are fantastic! They are a beautiful camel color - the picture is pretty accurate as far as color goes. They are comfy and look great over skinny jeans. I've gotten tons of compliments. I think they run a little big and there is quite a bit of room in the calf, but I think that looks good with jeans. They are expensive, but Frye boots are the best and this is such a classic style!
ReplyDeleteAfter reading the reviews, I went against my better judgement and ordered 1/2 size smaller than my typical size 7, mostly because I sometimes wear a 6.5 in certain shoes. The reviews REALLY stressed going down a 1/2 size, so I did and I ordered a 6.5. BIG MISTAKE go with the size you most typically wear! They were too tight, I had to return them and order a 7! The boots are incredible though! You'll love them.
