best boots review on FRYE Womens Campus Tall Saddle

FRYE Womens Campus Tall Saddle

I don't think I can speak highly enough about these boots . They're my second pair of Frye's--had the same Campus Frye's years ago in a color that seems to be discontinued--the color Walnut.

Those these in the 'Blazer Brown' are equally wonderful!!!

The color, a deep, dark brown, is simply the most beautiful color EVER and the heel color is outstanding--a nice deep, dark brown too.

What I like about these boots is that they seem to be made for my foot. It's like there's this padding that cushions and holds your foot in place. It's not just leather in there, but some kind of way that it's built, it just holds and hugs your foot.

Looking at the info. card that comes with the boots , it's so great to see that Frye's are still made in the Great US of A!!! And that it takes over 180 steps to make these boots . I can't imagine another company going to these lenghths.

Please, I hope everyone if they ever get a chance, please give these boots a chance and at least try them on for size. I think you'll be glad you did!!!

Cheers Frye!!!

You guys ROCK!!!

  1. I bought my first pair of Fryes in 1989 -- i still wear them sometimes.
These boots are super comfy. Soon after I bought them I spent four hours walking around town. No blisters, no problems. I wear them all the time -- except in the heat of summer.

  2. This is my second pair of Frye boots. I work on my feet all day and these have been comfortable since day 1. They are a nice looking, good quality boot.

  3. Just received my order today and I am in LOVE. I was a bit scared to order shoes over the internet, but I called a million stores and couldn't find these boots anywhere. Summer is here so....First I will say to follow the advice and definitely order a half-size smaller than you would normally wear. I didn't listen and ended up having to deal with returning the first pair, which was annoying. My fault though for not listening. I own a pair of Frye Daisy Dukes, and those are a half-size smaller than my normal size so I should have known better. Anyway, these boots are exactly what I hoped they would be. I got mine in saddle. The color is gorgeous. I was worried about them being too orange-y, but they are not orange at all. The leather is beautiful and so is the wooden heel. I was suprised that the heel was finished and shiny. And the boots are lighter than I was expecting them to be. They are no heavier than other boots I own. They were comfortable the first time I wore them. I love them so much I am wearing them around the house right now. I don't want to take them off. I will definitely be planning my outfits around these boots for weeks to come. If you are on the fence, I would highly recommend getting a pair. They look rugged, but they feel exquisite when you slip them on! My friends are gonna be super jealous when they see these.

  5. I've just returned a pair of these AMAZING boots in a size 8. I am a true 8 and was scared to listen to others who suggested to go down a half size. Well, I needed a 7.5 and i'm having to switch sizes! They are so pretty in real life though and I am thinking they are totally worth the higher price tag. I know a girl who has had the same pair I'm buying (banana) for over 3 years and she wears them continuously! They still look amazing!! I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I have had these boots for 5 years now (I have them in both black and brown) and they still fit and feel great. I have had them each resoled once. The leather is soft but durable, and wears well. They sort of have a cowboy rugged feel, but still enough style to wear them with a skirt. I read the review about the wide calf area. I didn't find this at all (I don't think I have big calves (I weigh 120) but who knows. I find they are one of the few boots that fit well under a tighter boot cut jean. They are not "snug" around the calf, but the boots don't "show" or "snag" (meaning there is enough room to wear under (not tucked in) a pair of jeans (or at least the ones I wear). I still get compliments on these kickers. Gotta love that. FRYE makes a great shoe.

  7. These are the best boots ever. I actually purchased my correct size (I tried on a pair of my friends) I am a 7 1/2 Australian/38 Euro - so didn't feel the need to go 1/2 size down. They are not tight (as such) but I found the 7's way too tight. To anyone purchasing from Australia, make sure you try some on first before you buy online. Also, the shipping was super fast....couldn't be happier with this purchase.
