Old Gringo Womens Lauren Stud

I bought this boot from the warehouse section. They had been opened before, but for a discount of close to 50 percent I couldn't resist since I can't afford Fryes at full price. I have a hard foot to fit - size 9, high arch, wide foot and I haven't been able to comfortably wear regular height boots in quite awhile. Another reviewer noted that these worked for her with the same foot issues so I went for it. I have never done this before, but when I put them on, I did a little happy dance! Very comfortable! My high instep makes any boot hard to pull on, but these being short made it easier. I should note that I tried another style of Frye boot last year, another shortie, and that style was harder to pull on; I had to send it back. I like that there is no heel border to bend over inside the boot. They fit best with a medium sock (too thick and my wide foot feels strangled, too thin and there's some slippage). I'm a teacher and I wore these to work on their second wearing. On my feet all day and still comfy! I love the style. I will probably only wear them with jeans but they fit nicely under the pant leg and without any obvious boot line. They are tall enough that my jeans stay over them but short enough to be worn by someone with feet like mine. So glad I am back in boots !

    I just love these boots; they're decorative and pretty, but neutral enough that they go with almost everything. And so comfortable! I got them at a much discounted price, which only makes me love them all the more. One of my favorite Amazon purchases ever.

    I love these boots. I already have a couple of pair of Old Gringo but these are by far my favorite. Great height and so comfortable. Can't say enough. I want to wear them every day!

    Beautiful and very comfortable once on. A little difficult getting my foot past the ankle of the boot initially as I have a high instep. But no problems now.

    This is my 4th pair of Old Gringo boots and I absolutly LOVE them!! I've been wanting a red pair for ever and when I saw these I knew I couldn't live without them. They are very comfortable (I do a lot of walking) and they are made very well. I get tons on complements everytime I wear them. I always order a 1/2 size up so I can wear cushioned inserts ad socks with them. You will not regret buying these or any other Old Gringo boots!

Best riding boots ever!

boots review on FRYE Shirley Over The Knee Riding Leather I loved and wanted this boot regardless of the fact that i knew my calf size was larger then what the boot circumfrance stated. My calf is a 16 3.4.. but i knew that in a couple of days it would give and it did. When i first tried them on they wouldnt go pass my calf then after wearing them in the house they gave but then i realized i should have tried them with socks. I put the socks on and then in two days they stretched and fit my calf nicely. i always order a half size up, which was plenty of room to wear with socks and be comfy. I love this boot and thats why i took 4 days to decide if it was worth all the stretching and it was. Dont plan on buy another black boot for some years. One change I would make to these boots if I were the designer: I'd make them knee length. They are a little short for the style. I normally wear a 9.5WW. Even though these were only a W, I had plenty of room in the footbed. I've ordered about eight pairs of boots trying to find one to fit and wished I could have kept these, even as an extra pair, since they aren't going to go with everything. My beef with these boots is that even though the calf opening says 16 inches, I could barely zip them up on my 16" calves (where I could on other boots of the same width).
