These boots are well worth the money

Image
best boots review on FRYE Carson Lug Knee High Antique This Frye boot lives up to all my "musts haves" before I would spend this much money. They are comfortable for all day and any day wear. They are great looking, classic and sophisticated with a western flare, without all the obvious contrast stitching and decoration. They have the Carson silhouette with the wonderfully roomy toe box and the shaped heel. ( I own two pairs of Carson oxfords because they look great with every pair of pants and jeans.) They are nice and high, just an inch or two below the knee (I am 5' 9")and the shaft is wide enough for slim jeans tucked in but not too loose and wide. I am thin, heavier legs might have less room. Another feature I love is the lug sole, great for wet or icy weather. These are a perfect boot for every day and will be stylish for ever. Love them! Get your FRYE Carson Lug Knee High Antique Now!

My Favorite Boots Ever

boots review on La Canadienne Womens Blanche Patent Maybe these aren't high-heeled sexy boots , but these boots are sexy and crazy cute. I ordered them in cherry. One change I would make to these boots if I were the designer: I'd make them knee length. They are a little short for the style. I normally wear a 9.5WW. Even though these were only a W, I had plenty of room in the footbed. I've ordered about eight pairs of boots trying to find one to fit and wished I could have kept these, even as an extra pair, since they aren't going to go with everything. My beef with these boots is that even though the calf opening says 16 inches, I could barely zip them up on my 16" calves (where I could on other boots of the same width). I wouldn't recommend buying them unless your calves are 15.5 or under. The leather does not feel like the type to stretch. A huge plus: these are extremely comfortable. They offer arch support (unheard of in most bo...

Perfect!

boots review on FRYE Womens Jane Trapunto Redwood I just purchased my second pair of Frye Jackie Button boots in vintage leather after I decided that it may be a good idea to alternate, since I now wear my first pair every single day! The first color I bought is called Light Grey Vintage Leather, which is really a light taupe/dark neutral beige. The second pair I bought is Cognac Vintage Leather, which is the perfect shade of dark saddle/British tan (like Coach's British Tan bags)-- not too red, not too brown, and not too orangey. These are the most comfortable boots I've ever walked the city in. They are made perfectly, from the elegant simple design to the just-right heel height to the rubber grippy sole. It goes without saying that the leather is thick and the craftsmanship is excellent. I have high arches and the arch support is superb. I have wide toes, but I don't find the almond toe too tight, even with thick socks. I always wear a size 6 in boots and th...

boots review on FRYE Womens Phillip Studded Harness I loved and wanted this boot regardless of the fact that i knew my calf size was larger then what the boot circumfrance stated. My calf is a 16 3.4.. but i knew that in a couple of days it would give and it did. When i first tried them on they wouldnt go pass my calf then after wearing them in the house they gave but then i realized i should have tried them with socks. I put the socks on and then in two days they stretched and fit my calf nicely. i always order a half size up, which was plenty of room to wear with socks and be comfy. I love this boot and thats why i took 4 days to decide if it was worth all the stretching and it was. Dont plan on buy another black boot for some years. These are great; they feel and smell fantastic!!!! First pair of Frye boots and i'm not disappointed; worth all the money that i spent on them. Get your FRYE Womens Phillip Studded Harness Now!

Not bulky on thin calves

Image
boots review on Cole Haan Tennley Buckle Boot I have a large collection of Cole Haan boots and love them all, these boots are no exception! I tried on several pairs of knee high boots in Bloomingdales and these boots where by far the most comfortable. I had to have them, but Bloomingdales only had the dark brown chesnut color, so I was happy to see as I shopped online that Amazon sold the sequoia brown. I love this color, compliments many outfits and love them with skinny jeans, leggings and dresses. I am 5'4" with 13" calves and these boots come right under my knees and hug my calves beautifully thanks to the stretchy goring along the back of the shaft. They run very true to size. I am size 7.5 to 8 and these boots in 7.5 fit my foot snug. There is room for only thin socks, which is fine for me as I typically dont wear socks with knee high boots . There is no zipper, however I have no difficulty getting them on and off. I wasn't too excited about ...

Love these boots!!!!!

Image
boots review on FRYE Womens Carson Pull On Antique I balked at the price of these boots even though the color I got was one of the cheaper ones, I had never spent this much on footwear before....once I got them and put them on I saw why the other reviewers were so enthusiastic. Buttery leather feel, superior comfort, and just plain cool boots ! I have received tons of compliments everywhere I wear them! They look good with a skirt or dress as well as jeans. I am not the "country" type but loved the plainness of these as you can go in other directions with them. I'm not sure what they're treated with but I spilled a glass of red wine on them the other night!!!! YIKES... I thought they were ruined, but I rubbed the stain with a little shout stain remover and they cleaned right up. It darkened the leather (slightly) but in a pleasant way and not noticeably enough to cause comment from anyone. If you are on the fence, go for it. These boots are awesome...

Flippin' best boots ever!

best boots review on FRYE Womens Carmen Harness Short I'd been eyeing these boots for a while and finally splurged on a pair in the spice color. They are exactly what I was looking for! They have a very sleek and simple design and silhouette which means they will be a classic shoe in my closet for years to come. I love that they are flat as I already have a tall pair of boots with a slight heel. These gussy up any outfit (you can see how I styled mine on my blog here: [...], and I get tons of compliments on them! I also have very wide feet but these fit me well. (For reference, I usually wear a 6.5W or a 7M; the 7M of these shoes fit fine). There is just one thing that bothered me about these boots which was that the right shoe rubbed my heel. After wearing band aids a few times with these boots to break them in, thankfully it doesn't bother me anymore. I'd highly recommend these! Get your FRYE Womens Carmen Harness Short Now!

Awesome Boots!!

best boots review on Aquatalia Marvin K Womens Antique This is my second pair of Aquatalia boots by Marvin K., and they are just as beautiful as the first. For years and years, I searched for the perfect pair of boots . I tried on hundreds of pairs all to find that they did not fit my skinny calf. In my experience, I would say the average boot shaft circumference in the U.S. is probably around 15". My calf is approx. 13". It was and is very, very frustrating. So my husband (yes, my husband) took me to a high-end department store and bought me my first pair of black leather Aquatalia's. After that, I was hooked. I realized that a brown pair would be a great addition to the wardrobe and guiltily bought the Star. The price is shocking. I have no other shoes that come even close to the price of these boots . I justified purchasing them by realizing they have a truly timeless style and their quality is outstanding, so I should be able to wear them for years to come...

Frye lives up the their reputation!

Image
boots review on FRYE Jenna Inside Zip Knee High I have never spent this kind of money on shoes before but I've been searching for years to find boots that fit my skinny calves and are comfortable. I do a lot of walking so I've had boots fall apart on me in the past. These boots are really comfortable and are narrow enough in the circumference that they actually look normal on me. It almost feels like I'm wearing a sneaker. I ordered both my size and a size below and I ended up going with my usual size because my toes felt a little tight in the toe box in the smaller size and I hate that feeling. I have really flat, narrow feet and pencil-like calves and these boots do sag a bit in the ankle and look a bit bulky but I don't mind the look. They look like high-quality boots and you can tell that they will last. I have already gotten a lot of compliments on them and I am looking forward to wearing them as my new go-to boots . If you have narrow fe...

boots review on FRYE Womens Taylor Short Brown I am a bit of a Frye afficianado, owning six pairs of Frye boots , some for as long as fifteen years and Frye never disappoints. The styling is always superb and in most cases is not of the moment, even if Frye incorporates some details that are in fashion at that time, Frye boots will never have to go to the thrift store with the acid washed jeans or the leg warmers or the bell bottoms. Frye style lasts a lifetime. These Taylor Short Boots are no different. They have enough western styling to make them interesting, but not so much that they need to be classified as a western or cowboy boot exclusively. These would look great with jeans or a skirt in a major metropolitan area. Then there is the Frye fit and quality. Fyre boots never need to be broken in, they are comfortable from the first time they are worn, no pinching, no blisters, no tightness at the arch. They will last a lifetime with minimal care to the leather as well a...
