boots review on Old Gringo Womens Minisora Chocolate I bought these boots a few days ago in black. In case you're wondering, they look exactly like they do on the website! I'm sure the caramel is absolutely gorgeous! I have always wanted a pair of boots that was weather-worthy but not clunky and ugly. This boot is the answer to all of my prayers! -- it is beautiful and stylish, and it has a special insole for stability. I am looking forward to trying it out this winter because it seems no matter what type of boot or shoe I wear, I always end up falling down everywhere. If you are a city girl like me, don't be turned off by the fact that they are "utility" boots for equestrian sports. These are as gorgeous as any pair that I've ever seen for city use, but more durable. I expect that I will have them with me for a long time to come. They also make a slender silhouette instead of widening around the calves like other boots tend to do. I am ...

boots review on Old Gringo Womens Lauren Stud I bought this boot from the warehouse section. They had been opened before, but for a discount of close to 50 percent I couldn't resist since I can't afford Fryes at full price. I have a hard foot to fit - size 9, high arch, wide foot and I haven't been able to comfortably wear regular height boots in quite awhile. Another reviewer noted that these worked for her with the same foot issues so I went for it. I have never done this before, but when I put them on, I did a little happy dance! Very comfortable! My high instep makes any boot hard to pull on, but these being short made it easier. I should note that I tried another style of Frye boot last year, another shortie, and that style was harder to pull on; I had to send it back. I like that there is no heel border to bend over inside the boot. They fit best with a medium sock (too thick and my wide foot feels strangled, too thin and there's some slippage). I'm a...

best boots review on FRYE Womens Campus Tall Saddle I don't think I can speak highly enough about these boots . They're my second pair of Frye's--had the same Campus Frye's years ago in a color that seems to be discontinued--the color Walnut. Those these in the 'Blazer Brown' are equally wonderful!!! The color, a deep, dark brown, is simply the most beautiful color EVER and the heel color is outstanding--a nice deep, dark brown too. What I like about these boots is that they seem to be made for my foot. It's like there's this padding that cushions and holds your foot in place. It's not just leather in there, but some kind of way that it's built, it just holds and hugs your foot. Looking at the info. card that comes with the boots , it's so great to see that Frye's are still made in the Great US of A!!! And that it takes over 180 steps to make these boots . I can't imagine another company going to these lenghths. Pleas...

best boots review on Dan Post Womens Anthem Light I'm hopelessly addicted to Old Gringo boots , and these are just gorgeous! This is my first pair of the Razz style, and I was concerned about them fitting my athletic calves. I bought them in my actual shoe size since this toe/style runs larger than other OG boots . They fit like a glove but were a tiny bit snug at the top of the calves, so I took them to my local boot store for a little stretching. As long as it's done gradually, the zippers won't be affected. These are much flatter in the arch area compared to the traditional OG cowboy style boots I usually wear (with either the zero or 4 long toe), but they are very comfortable and will not disappoint. The buttery soft leather and gorgeous embroidery are sure to make this my new favorite pair! Old Gringo boots are the best thing to happen to my wardrobe and always get compliments wherever I go. Well worth the money :) Get your Dan Post Womens Anthem Light N...

Gorgeously Understated

boots review on La Canadienne Womens Passion Leather I bought these equestrian-styled boots in place of rubber or fabric boots for walking in snow, and they have been fantastic. The heel gives some style and traction, but is low enough to be very comfortable. The fleece/felt lining inside makes it warm enough for outside, but not so hot that you can't wear it inside. Since the leather is waterproof, it is less supple than average, but the leather itself seems high quality and I think it is a little stiff because it is waterproofed. Overall, it is a very comfortable boot, and it being waterproof makes it very useful! I have thin calves, and can wear it with or without my jeans tucked in. The downside is that it will not fit someone with larger calves. The traction is average. Because the leather is on the stiff side, it wrinkles a little in the ankles, but it doesn't affect the overall style of the boot. I've gotten a lot of compliments, and my feet have s...

My third pair of Frye boots!

Image
best boots review on FRYE Veronica Short Burnished Antiqued I already own 5 pairs of Frye boots and you cannot, find a better boot. I love Frye and I am a loyal customer. I had seen these in a store in Las Vegas and they did not have my size. The Black Stone Wash is awesome. It's totally rugged but when worn with a dress and tights they can be very feminine. I debated for a bit about this particular pair of boots because they were spendy. I ordered them after all and have not been disappointed yet. As with more of my Frye boots than not the inside sole with roll a tiny bit but even after years of wear not completely separate. I recently sent an older pair of Frye's back to them to be reconditioned for a small fee. The boots were shipped back to me looking completely new. Frye's really are an investment and the Veronica Shorties are well worth the money. Get your FRYE Veronica Short Burnished Antiqued Now!

best boots review on Old Gringo Womens Gaylarazz Brass I pooled money that I got from my December birthday and Christmas and treated myself to these boots , the most expensive (by far) pair of shoes in my closet. Here is the skinny on what I think of my new purchase: Let's start with workmanship-amazing-very high quality leather and gorgeous, colorful flowers embroidered across the instep and around the top of the boot. Dual zippers with leather pulls, I find this amazingly helpful as someone with a high arch to get into the boots . For us with a high arch it can be impossible to find boots we can get into relatively easy, the dual zipper helps A LOT. The heel is just high enough-and the toe is hard and really keeps the shape of the boot. Size....I wear either an 8.5 or a 9 occasionally, so I went with the 8.5. I would say if your foot is medium to a wider width your smaller of the two sizes should work for you. I have a little room, but not too much, however if my...

Good fit after breaking in, solidly made

Image
best boots review on FRYE Womens Engineer Boot Black Like many other reviewers here, I finally caved after hearing so much about the amazing Frye boots . They are everything as promised: solid, handmade boots with real soles that really will be comfortable, as well as keeping your feet warm and dry, and lasting forever if you take care of them. I ordered my normal size in boots (8.5), and found them to fit perfectly with my normal socks. I will say that they're a little sticky to get into the first few times, because the back of the heel, and the arch on top of the foot are a little tight (but this changes with time) - so be aware that they may feel tight the first few times, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you have the wrong size. These require some breaking in. I would recommend going on a few long walks or walking around the house with thick socks on to get the heels and arch to conform to your foot, otherwise you may end up with some initial blisters o...

Very Nice Boots!

boots review on FRYE Melissa Trapunto Knee High Antique I had been stalking these boots for several months now and finally bit the bullet and ordered them in black. Gorgeous right out of the box. Leather interior, leather sole. The quality and workmanship on this boot is great. Now here is the real reason you should buy this boot: comfort, support, durability. I brought several pairs of shoes on our honeymoon to Paris and London. I knew we would be doing a ton of walking and purchased the Melissa boot 3 days before our honeymoon. Out of the 14 days that we were on vacation I wore the Melissa boot 14 of those days. They were amazing. They are so stylish looking that people often mistook me as Parisian. On most days we walked a MINIMUM of 8 miles. Our flat was on the 9th floor of a walk-up. We walked and walked and walked some more. These boots took the beating and kept on going. My feet felt great! And I had no issues with chafing or blisters. It wasn't ti...

Find Quality Boots with the purpose of Fit Like a Glove

Finding truthful the healthy fit instead of your boots is focal if you need comfort and healthy feet. Whether selling motorbike boots, logger boots, lacer boots, cowboy boots, or steel toe boots, you'll need the unsurpassed fit achievable so you can have your activities lacking aches and blisters. Here are a quantity of "fitting" tips to remember what time shopping instead of boots. Choose Quality greater than Price Invest barely in boots of extreme quality. Price be supposed to barely be a dynamic a long time ago you've carefully examined the quality of the boots. To place them to the test, check instead of solid bottoms. Try critical your thumb into the foundation of the sole. If the sole can be hard-pressed in with your thumb, the boots are probably too soft to devote the protection you need. Also, try twisting the soles of the boots. If you can twist them, they're probably too soft. Solid bottoms are very focal with steel toe boots, logger boots, lacer boots,...

Gorgeous Boots; Stiff Leather

Image
best boots review on FRYE Womens Carmen Harness Short First, let me say that these boots are gorgeous. I ordered these and the harness boot in Sand, and this was my favorite color of the two. It is a rich, golden tan that looks fantastic with denim and will carry you through the entire year. Compared to the sand leather boot, these were wider. They would not have required any break in period for my foot. Compared to my Frye Engineer's this style does not have that super comfy foot bed. There is some cushion, but it is not the uber comfortable gel insole that the Frye's that are made in the USA have. Also, the leather is stiffer on both the tan and sand Carmen boots than on the Engineer Frye boots . Ultimately, I returned these in favor of the Carmen Harness Boot in Sand because I live in a snow belt, and I did not want to be afraid to wear my boots , especially at this price. I was not 100% sure that the tan suede would fair as well in the salt and snow. Had ...

boots review on FRYE Veronica Back Zip Antique This is exactly what I was looking for. A little bummed they came with major damage on them, but amazon has promised to take of it and I should be getting my new pair shortly, and I cannot wait to rock them. The fit on these are a lot tighter than the regular slip on Veronica from Frye so make sure you get your regular size or even a half size up.The cognac color is awesome. I am considering buying these in black too I love them so much. Update: got my boots and returned them on Monday afternoon and got refunded on Tuesday morning! Amazon is amazing! New boots on on their way and I can't wait. Update to the update: I have tried these boots in both the cognac and black, for some reason the black fits a lot truer to size. Note that there are two types of black leather, I did try them both. One is shiny and one is really distressed with no shine. I opted for the distressed, the shiny ones for me would have been preferable bec...

boots review on Old Gringo Womens Erin Black I just received my beautiful boots this morning and I could not be happier. I had wanted a pair of cowgirl boots to add to my wardrobe and had researched many brands online. Old Gringo boots seemed to be what I was looking for, so I finally settled on the Erin style in Chocolate. I am so glad I did. I just got done trying them on with jeans, a dress, and a skirt and they look amazing with all of them. The craftsmanship and quality of the boots is top-notch and the colors are gorgeous. My only complaint is the boot is slightly narrow, but I feel that once they are worn in a little bit they will be perfect. I had previously ordered a pair in a size 7 (which I normally wear) and they were too large. The heel slipped when I walked around. The 6 1/2 that I ordered after that was perfect! I would highly recommend these awesome boots to anyone! Get your Old Gringo Womens Erin Black Now!

These boots make me happy!

boots review on Koolaburra Womens Savannity Boot Black These boots are amazing! I bought them in the tan color, and wasn't expecting them to be already distressed-looking since they didn't appear that way in the photo. When they arrived, though, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have that broken-in look already to them. After reading a lot of reviews here on Amazon and elsewhere, I decided to go with the common advice of ordering a half-size down, and I'm glad I did. I usually wear a 7 1/2 in boots and shoes , and the 7 fit perfectly. What I read on-line said that you know you have the right fit when the heel area is loose; they will eventually mold to your foot, and you will no longer feel your heel sliding in them, which is exactly what I found to be the case. I also had no problems breaking them in. I wore them around the house for a few hours over the weekend, out for two hours yesterday, and wore them for eight hours on my feet teaching today ...

LOVE THESE BOOTS!!!

Image
boots review on Old Gringo Womens Grace Western I "collect" western style boots . I know my boots and boot lines and makers. I know how they are suppose to fit and feel...and I know a knock-off when i see it. These are one of the best boots I own that are a manufactured boot. Old Gringo is manufactured in Mexico and a lot of the work is done by hand...you just cant beat an Old Gringo for comfort either! I get compliments every time I wear these boots . They stand out for sure! They wear just like a flat shoe...very very easy to walk in this boot and anyone who wants to try to wear a western boot for the first time should wear an Old Gringo Boot and buy their usual shoe size. After some time of wearing these boots ...you will see that they form to your foot like a good shoe leather should. These go on very easily...no struggle at the ankle to get your foot into the shoe bed. If you want to show you individual attitude...these are your boots . You will ...

best boots review on FRYE Paige Tall Riding Burnished So, I have been admiring the Frye Paiges for awhile. I tried them on a couple years ago and was discouraged by the difficulty to get them on and off, as you will see mentioned in other reviews, but I kept going back to them. I finally committed and bought them right before Christmas. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 so I ordered a 7 to account for bigger socks and jeans tucked in them. Unfortunately, they were too big, to the point they were sliding around and up my ankle when I walked. Of course they were easier to get on too, but I wanted them to fit better. I called Amazon and did a free return and got my new 6.5. (You can only be mad at yourself if you choose to order from one of their afiliates whose service isn't as good). Yes, the 6.5s were harder to get on, but they also fit my feet better and I'm going to trust the other reviewers when they say they flex a little. I'll take an extra few seconds for these boots ...

Comfortable, stylish casual boot

Image
best boots review on FRYE Womens Veronica Tumbled Leather I purchased the grey/slate in size 8. For reference, I am 5'3". They might run a half size small as I am usually between an 8 and 8.5 (38-39EU), tending to lean toward the 8.5. The picture here does not do them justice! They are much better in person than they appear on Amazon. My first loves are HANDBAGS, and this leather is expensive designer handbag quality....soooooo soft. It feels nice. It smells nice. I'm a little strange about my leather, I guess. This is a distressed gray with a "finish". I'll bet if one were to put leather polish on them, the boots would be dark gray. You can rub them with your finger and they get a little darker. On me, they come to about an inch or two below my knee. My calves are on the larger side due to jogging, but I can still fit my skinny jeans in them! Get your FRYE Womens Veronica Tumbled Leather Now!

boots review on FRYE Melissa Button Knee High Vintage So i had these boots lingering in my cart for at least a year, because lets face it, not all of us have $300+ dollars to spend on a pair boots . They were my "some day" item. Then it happened. These boots showed up in my cart with a note saying the price had been reduced! My head started to spin and my heart started to beat out of my chest! TODAY WAS "SOME DAY"! The price had indeed been reduced on all three pairs in had in my cart. Light Brown Brush Off Leather $148.34 Black Soft Vintage Leather $159.47 Dark Brown Antique Soft Full Grain Leather $159.47 $467.28 for three pair of Frye boots is a temptation I could not withstand. I bought all three. Don't judge me. The week it took them to arrive (though on time) seemed like an eternity. When I came home from work to find them waiting my porch I couldn't wait to rip open the boxes! I was thrilled! A few things though: 1. The Light Brown Brush...
